Phillip
Fraser was born
in the Whitfield Town area of Kingston, Jamaica in
1951.
Phillip
was influenced
and inspired to sing by the late Slim Smith. It was
at this time that he entered talent contests at the Bohemian Nightclub
on Maxfield Ave.
along with other hopeful unknowns at the time like The Mighty Diamonds.
Phillip
joined forces
with Bertram Brown and formed the Freedom Sounds
label. Bertram Brown becoming the owner/producer and Phillip Fraser,
Prince Alla, and Earl
Zero being the first recording artists.
Phillip's
small frame
and gentle manner belie the power of his voice, as
you listen to him you can hear and feel the inspiration that guides
him. Phillip shares
with you the pureness of his heart and lifts you on high to exalt
H.I.M. and all that is
good.
"Keep
listening to good music, for it soothes the heart and
stimulates the mind. Let the music vibes flow."
- Phillip Fraser

(from the Silver
Kamel Audio press release)...
Silver Kamel presents a selection of songs
and
sinjay from Delton Screechie, Kojak, and Liza from the '80s and '90s.
Kojak is a star of many talents, both as a
producer and a performing artist. He has
been an innovator of great creative insight, being the first to combine
female and male
DJ's on the same track with his duo of divas, the two Lizas, Beverley
Brown and Jacqueline
Boland.
Screechie and Kojak deliver a set of songs
and dubs that will thrill and inspire you,
as they guide you through all the moods of reggae - from the roots of
Rasta inspired
"Jah is my Light" to the lovers inspired "teardrops" to the social
statements of "Work Hard" and even a piece of Jamaican history on the
hit
"Bunny Rhygin" the rude boy whose antics were immortalized by jimmy
Cliff in
"The Harder They Come" a movie by Perry Henzell.
"I would like to let you know more
about myself. I will try to let you know in
some other way, and the best way I can do that is through music."
- Kojak
