TRAG, is an original alternative Rock group based in Fairfield County, CT.

The group has a unique music style due to the diverse background of the musicians involved. TRAG has been played on many local radio stations in the Connecticut area including WICC, WQAQ, and WUOF. This exposure has led to playing some of the marquee clubs in the Tri-state area, including Toad's Place, Elbow Room, Kenny's Castaways, and the Webster Theater. The group has also appeared on many local TV shows including "A Moment To Remember" and Cablevision's Channel 12 "The Fairfield Exchange".

Although the music has a contemporary style, it is rich in melody and diversity: dare we say a true "Progressive Sound". TRAG's time is now!

Members of TRAG are:

Mike Townsend (Lead Guitar, Vocals) - A long time member of the group is a veteran guitar player with many years of experience in bands through out the North East area. Although his roots are Appalachian he rocks with force and energy. His musical influences are Doc Watson, Neil Young, Muddy Waters, and the Rolling Stones. Also, Mike's strong vocal ability helps to define the group's sound.

Lou Vitali (Bass, Vocals) - A dynamic and precise player with plenty of imagination and theory. Lou hails from a Progressive Rock background (everything from Yes to REM) and his bass sound is the driving force which helps keep TRAG on the cutting edge. Lou has also performed with local favorites Tyler Room and Groove Fiction Sex Ceremony.

Mark Tragianese (Drums, Percussion, Vocals) - Mark hails from Bridgeport and is the founder of the band. He has developed a solid reputation as a percussionist with area groups like Kinetic Sect, Ulterior Motive, and Theravada. He also instructs percussion at the University level. Dynamic and precise percussion with progressive song writing has Mark rounding out the trio's diverse background.
